		<description>How is it that the most insightful commentary in the American media on the Gulf war (which is after all, really expensive, even if you ignore all the serious moral overtones to it.) is on Comedy Central?

Maureen Dowd in the NY Times had a wonderful article that is up (I think still) in their most emailed. She seems to actually read about things before writing about them (a lost art.)
